French-American Cultural Foundation
France Magazine was the studio's first client and longest — a ten year relationship producing over 40 issues for the French-American Cultural Foundation. An English-language quarterly for an international audience, the content ranged across contemporary design, food, and culture, demanding a visual sensibility that felt genuinely European without being derivative. The challenge was consistent: strong editorial design on a fixed budget, where resourcefulness becomes a creative constraint rather than a limitation. Typography carried the weight — custom explorations and type-driven layouts that gave each issue a cohesive identity and held the stories together.
